What a Consultation Really Is — and Why It Isn't About Price
A consultation is not a gateway to a price. Our pricing is published openly on our booking app, so you can see it before you ever speak to us. What a consultation buys you is something a price list cannot give: a specialist's honest read of your skin and a realistic plan for getting where you want to go.
A good look at the canvas
Every result begins with the skin it is placed into. We assess texture, tone, pliability, prior tattoo or permanent makeup work, how the area has healed in the past, and how it behaves when it moves. Photographs on a screen only tell part of the story — seeing the area in person is what makes the plan reliable.
Your body and your health history
We review medical and treatment history, medications, healing tendencies, and anything that affects how your skin accepts pigment or recovers between sessions. Where it is warranted, we identify what needs medical clearance and help you get it before scheduling, rather than discovering it on the day of a session.
A theoretical plan, session by session
From there we build out the possibilities: what is achievable, what each session would aim to accomplish, and what your skin should look like at each stage. Many outcomes are best reached by combining methods — retexturing before camouflage, lightening before new pigment, or staged coverage across an area. Those combinations get mapped out so you understand the sequence and the reasoning behind it.
Timing is often the surprise
Clients are frequently unaware that healing time between sessions is a hard safety constraint. Skin needs weeks to settle before it can be worked again, and that spacing cannot be compressed to suit a deadline. Concealment work can take months — and for large or complex revisions, a year or more from start to completion. If you have a date in mind, a wedding, a surgery, a season, that timeline determines when you need to begin.
What you leave with
A consultation narrows the field to the options that are genuinely viable for you, tells you when to start, and gives you a clear understanding of the foreseeable timing and the costs attached to it. You leave able to make a decision rather than a guess.
Consultations with a specialist are $49 and are applied toward your future session.
